Anchorman 2 The Legend Continues

PG-13

Starring: Will Farrell, Christina Applegate, Steve Carell, Paul Rudd, David Koechner, James Marsden, Harrison Ford, Meagan Good and Greg Kinnear
1Hour and 59 Minutes

Ok, with much hesitation and trepidation I went to screen this movie. Having not seen the first Anchorman I wasn't quite sure what I was getting myself into. It ended up being pretty much what I had anticipated with adult humor and  some awkward situations. Ron Burgundy (Will Farrell) resumes his role in the early 1980's in San Diego as the full-of-himself news anchor when he is suddenly let go and does not know what he will do.
When approached by a brand new up and coming network,  GNN (Global News Network) in New York City, a never before heard of concept of live 24-hour news, he jumps at the opportunity.
He pulls his team of misfits, Brick Tamland (Steve Carell), Brian Fantana (Paul Rudd) and Champ Kind (David Koechner) together to resurrect the old, more successful times.
When introduced to the other news teams, the very popular and pretty-faced Jack Lime (James Marsden) is totally confident that he will beat Burgudy's ratings and they start a personal competition. Burgundy and company are given the 2AM to 7AM time slot. Knowing they have to be really savvy to pull off the ratings, Burgundy decides to give America the news with the motto "not what America needs but what America wants" and then the fun begins.
This movie literally had the audience falling out of their chairs laughing!!! The audience loved this movie! Granted, there were some absolutely hilarious moments in this film but there is also some really rank humor as well!!! So, I am advising everyone that...it is what it is! You will have to use your own discretion on this one.
Parents be advised: this is a very strong PG-13! A lot of adult humor and situations, strong language, the F-bomb is dropped once, some racial language that was awkward and some sexual situations too.
I am giving "Anchorman 2 The Legend Continues" two and a half bags of popcorn.
